I have always loved making things since I was a child when I used to make my dolls clothes by sewing and simple knitting. I did a Fashion/Textiles BA, and became interested in knitwear during the course, originally machine knitting. I spent a few years in London working in design studios for suppliers to the major high street retailers, designing commercial factory machine knits produced in the Far East and UK. I started to work as a freelance designer working on hand knits produced in the Far East.
Continuing to freelance I began working for magazines and yarn companies. I found a pattern writer and gradually built up a group of experienced knitters, adding book publishers to the companies that I design for. Published work can be seen on Pinterest and my blog
and patterns on Ravelry, Love Knitting and Craftsy.
